The Upstate Birth and Baby Expo is held annually by the Upstate Birth Network, a non-profit organization providing education for all women who are expecting and raising children. We are a group of volunteers and birth professionals working to provide women with support and resources.

Carrie LaChappelle, Midwife
Carrie is a SC Licensed Midwife from Greenville with 13 years of combined birthing experience. She attends homebirths in the upstate and surrounding communities.
Jen Conway, Birth Photographer & Doula
Jen is a birth photographer/film maker serving Greenville and Spartanburg. . She is also a Mom to 4 and has experienced childbirth in birth centers, at home and in hospital.
Sarah Canino
Sarah is an apprentice midwife serving the Upstate and will be licencing in the summer. She is wife to an amazing husband and mother to 5 wonderful children.

meredith wentzel
Meredith is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist with a Masters degree in Health & Wellness. She provides holistic, functional and integrative feeding and wellness support to families in the Upstate in the home or office setting. Meredith lives in Simpsonville with her husband and two children.
DANA PATTERSON
DANA PATTERSON is a native of the Upstate, the wife of one amazing man for nearly 20 years, and mother of 7 incredible children. Dana serves expecting families with gentleness, compassion, and encouragement as a doula and childbirth educator.
Megan Afshar
Dr. Megan is a chiropractor in Greenville, SC who is incredibly passionate about family health--from newborn baby, to seasoned adults. She loves educating those she interacts with about the power of a functioning nervous system and the influence it has on overall health.
Roxanne Ervin
ROXANNE ERVIN is a birth doula serving hospital, birth center, and home births in the Upstate area. She has trained with DONA and Hypnobabies and is passionate about VBAC births. Roxanne uses intuition, prayer and her training to serve in each unique birth.
Angelica Bennett
Angelica is a trained Labor Doula here in the upstate. She owns Birth Flow Doula Services+. Angelica is passionate about birth and helping families. Doula work is her calling. She also can appreciate a cheesy joke or two. :)
Susannah Baldwin
Susannah is a licensed professional counselor and has been in practice since 2011. She specializes in working with adults struggling with issues surrounding their reproductive journey- sexuality, infertility, pregnancy, childbirth, loss, postpartum depression and postpartum anxiety. She has advanced training in Maternal Mental Health and frequently speaks at groups and with professionals to raise awareness, promote screening and treatment of maternal mental illness. She is also a volunteer for PSI as a State Coordinator and is on the leadership board for the Upstate Birth Network.
Julie Byers
JULIE BYERS is a certified doula and childbirth educator with over 10 years in birth work. She owns Greenville Hypnobabies . Her deepest wish is for couples to look forward to their birth with joyful expectation instead of fear.
